News Release 06-09-23
On the morning of 06/01/23, a Red Lake County deputy spoke with two individuals who were camping near the Dollar General Store in Red Lake Falls. They were advised they could not camp there. They claimed they were walking to Duluth. The deputy gave them a ride to Marcoux Corner, and they continued their journey.
On the afternoon of 06/02/23, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report about individuals being threatened at a Lambert Township residence the previous evening. That report is still under investigation.
On the afternoon of 06/03/23, Dorian Blue Bauman (27) of Thief River Falls was cited for speeding on Hwy. #32 south of Red Lake Falls.
On the evening of 06/03/23, Julian Giannini Niewiaroski (25) of Grand Forks was cited for speeding on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls.
On the afternoon of 06/05/23, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls for a moving violation. It was discovered the driver, Jason Edward Grindeland (35) of Fargo, did not have a valid driver’s license. The motor vehicle registration had expired, and he did not have current insurance for the vehicle. Pennington County also held an active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Mr. Grindeland was cited for misdemeanor driving after suspension, expired motor vehicle registration and no current motor vehicle insurance. He was arrested for the outstanding warrant and transported to jail in Thief River Falls where he was turned over to Pennington County authorities.
On the morning of 06/06/23, Douglas Arthur Kilen (59) of Middle River was cited for speeding on CR. #5 of Oklee.
On the morning of 06/06/23, Donjrel Quimeire Pearson (25) of Richfield, MN was cited for speeding on CR. #5 in Oklee.
On the afternoon of 06/06/23, Alexander F. Reichert (52) of Grand Forks was cited for speeding on CR. #7 west of Hwy. #92.
On the afternoon of 06/06/23, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls for a moving violation. The driver, Ethan Xavier Ryan Kuchera (23) of Grand Forks, did not have a valid driver’s license and the vehicle’s registration was expired. Mr. Kuchera was cited for misdemeanor driving after suspension and expired motor vehicle registration.
On the afternoon of 06/06/23, a Red Lake County deputy assisted a motorist whose vehicle had run out of gas on Hwy. #32 north of Red Lake Falls.
On the evening of 06/06/23, Landon Mercer Mehling (22) of Cleveland, OH was cited for speeding on Hwy. #32 north of Red Lake Falls.
On the evening of 06/06/23, a Red Lake County deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a Red Lake Falls residence. The deputy was able to mediate the situation and the involved parties agreed to separate for the night.
On the morning of 06/08/23, Leslie Fay Ellis (34) of Bemidji was cited for speeding on CR. #5 in the city of Oklee.
On the evening of 06/08/23, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office reported that they had arrested Chaz Nathaniel Sistad (32) of Brooks. Red Lake County held an active gross misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. A Red Lake County deputy transported Mr. Sistad from Bemidji to jail in Crookston. He is scheduled to appear in Court in Crookston later today.
