On the afternoon of 06/09/23, a Red Lake County deputy assisted with a dispute over some personal property in Brooks. The deputy spoke to the involved parties and the disputed property was returned to the owner.
On the evening of 06/09/23, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report that some individuals were attempting to camp at Huot Park. A Deputy responded and advised them that overnight camping at the park was no longer allowed, and they agreed to leave.
On the evening of 06/09/23, Amber Ray Ludvigson (37) of Farmington, MN was cited for speeding on Hwy. #59 south of Brooks.
On the afternoon of 06/10/23, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of property in Red Lake Falls. That report remains under investigation.
On the afternoon of 06/10/23, Trudy Beret Erickson (35) of Thief River Falls was cited for speeding on CR. #7 west of Hwy. #92.
On the afternoon of 06/11/23, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle, north of CR. #13 on 160th Ave. SW because they knew the driver, John James Nogowski (35) of Red Lake Falls, did not have a valid driver’s license. During the traffic stop, it was discovered that Mr. Nogowski did not have current motor vehicle insurance and he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested, taken to jail in Crookston and he was booked for misdemeanor driving after revocation, no current motor vehicle insurance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and for violating the terms of his supervised probation. Mr. Nogowski appeared in Court in Crookston on 06/12/23 and he was released from custody.
On the morning of 06/12/23, the Dollar General store in Red Lake Falls reported a possible shoplifting incident. That report is still under investigation.
On the morning of 06/12/23, Janella Rose Rude (42) of Plummer was cited for misdemeanor NSF check. Ms. Rude had issued the bad check to the Red Lake County Co-op in November of 2022.
On the evening of 06/13/23, Timothy Joel Schulman (42) of Bagley was cited for speeding on CR. #5 in Oklee.
On the evening of 06/14/23, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the jail in Crookston that Arthur James Paulson (63) of Grand Forks turned himself in to their facility. Red Lake County held an active gross misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.
On the evening of 06/15/23, Angie Marie Haaland (39) of Minot, ND was cited for speeding on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls.

We love Huot Park. It needs some TLC. And camping reopened!
We loved camping at Huot Park why did they stop it
